Technical Requirements
One More Story is an internet-based application, so your system must be up-to-date with certain basic standards.
Internet
In order to experience One More Story, your computer must have a connection to high speed internet, such as cable or DSL.
Flash
Your computer also needs the most up-to-date Flash player available.
To check what version of Flash player you have, visit the My Connection page for the Flash version detector.
To download the latest version of flash, go to www.adobe.com/flashplayer (this is an external link).
Browsers
One More Story is accessible through all of the common browsers in use. For best results, we suggest downloading the most recent version of the browser you use.
Speakers
Your computer must be hooked up to active, working speakers and the volume must be at an audible level.
Pops Ups & Cookies
Your browser must be set to allow both pop up windows and cookies (to learn how, see the FAQ section). Cookies allow your computer to remember parts of the website so it can load as quickly as possible.
IP Address
If you are a school, library or hospital that has registered with One More Story, you will need to make sure that we have your IP address or range. An 'IP' is like your institution's address on the internet and One More Story enables your registration by IP-recognition. Once we have your IP(s), you should see a school/library/hospital welcome message in the upper right corner of www.onemorestory.com. If this does not happen, contact us at problems.
Your building's IT specialist should be able to tell us your IP address or IP range. You can also visit our User Info page for IP Finder to find out the IP address of your specific computer (though if your school is within a range, this will not tell you the entire range).
