About Our Library & Books
How many books will be added to the site?
The One More Story library will be continually added to until we reach 108 books.
Are the books arranged according to level?
The books in the library are NOT arranged according to reading level. One More Story's intention is to empower our readers by allowing them to choose any book from our selection of literature that appeals to them. The reading levels of the books in our library can be found in the "Browse Our Library" section of the navigation bar on the left.
Using The Site
What if I enter my login information, click Submit and I come to a screen with the OMS logo and an ORANGE ARROW and can go no further?
This is a pop-blocker issue. Please adjust your settings on both your browser and your Internet Security Software (Norton, McAfee, etc) to allow for pop-up windows for www.onemorestory.com.
How do I access the different bookshelves in the library?
The various shelves can be accessed by clicking on the colored tabs on the top portion of the screen. The One More Story library contains six book shelves, each of which will eventually hold 18 books.
What is the octagonal red sign on the bottom left of each page?
Clicking on this stop sign stops the book you are reading and takes you back to the library page.
How do I allow my child or students to easily click through the One More Story site without typing in the URL, username and password?
Learn how to create a one-click shortcut on our Place a Desktop Icon page.
How do I turn off the sound to get to the "I Can Read It" mode?
After clicking on a green button to read a book, a screen comes up with the cover of that book. On the upper right hand corner of that screen is an "I." Clicking on that "I" turns off the sound track and allows your child to read the book. If there is a word that is unfamiliar to your child, putting the cursor on that word highlights the word. By clicking on that highlighted word, the narrator will say that word.
How come I cannot access certain books in the library?
Books that do not display a green button underneath the cover are in production, and are not yet available. As soon as production is complete, a green button will appear underneath that book's cover making it an accessible part of the library. Click on the green button to read that story.
